San Youshan Culture and Tourism Festival held in Guangxi, China

The San Yushan Culture and Tourism Festival will be held in Wuming District, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, southern China from April 20 to 23.

A total of 23 events, including singing, Zhang fashion shows, bamboo stick dances, cooking festivals and cultural and creative exhibitions, were held at the festival to highlight the profound culture of the Zhang people.

At the opening ceremony on April 22, the intangible cultural heritage of the indigenous people was displayed and a fashion show was held to highlight the costumes of the Zhang people and the festival Food too.

Eight towns in Wuming also held events to celebrate the festival to attract tourists.

As one of the birthplace of Zhang culture, Wuming has been hosting the San Youshan Festival since 1980. Today, the festival has become a prominent event for Wuming culture.

In 2014, the Wumingshan Yushan Festival was registered as a national intangible cultural heritage in China.
