Phnom Penh (FN), October 9 – Prime Minister Hun Sen officially announced on Monday afternoon that Sokha Hotel had voluntarily stopped selling tickets for Monivong National Park and Bokor Mountain Resort, which will be effective from October 15.
“On behalf of the Royal Government, I am pleased to inform that Sokha Hotel has volunteered to stop selling tickets for Monivong National Park and Bokor resort, which will be effective from October 15, onwards.
I would like to say that the free entrance will attract tourists to visit the historical sites, especially the beautiful scenery, to find out the precious species of plants and animals and to explore the cultural and religious practices.
I hope that this decision will also promote tourism activities in the Monivong National Park as well as in the southern tourist corridors, especially the coastal zone, to increase the socio-economic benefits for local people”, stated the premier.
