Mountain Bike GP in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 August 2014: Tourism Malaysia is working with Harian Metro to host the Mountain Bike Grand Prix Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia 2014.
The first national mountain bike race series will be scheduled throughout Malaysia to promote a healthy cycling lifestyle among Malaysians as well as position Malaysia as an ideal cycling tourism destination for residents and foreign tourists.
The event is open to the public for participation in two challenges: Jamboree Metro Open, a fun race along a 40-km route that meanders through scenic towns and natural settings;
XC Metro takes participants along a slightly more challenging route and would be suitable for competitive cyclists.
The first round of the Mountain Bike Grand Prix Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia took place 24 August in Kuala Kangsar, with similar rounds to be held at the following locations:
• Temerloh, Pahang 26 to 27 September
• Pulau Pinang 24 to 25 October
• Melaka 28 to 29 November
• Selangor 27 to 28 December
