International tourist to capital increase of more than 6 percent in 2016

(Phnom Penh): For within 11 months of 2016, Phnom Penh has received the international visitors more than 2 million people, up 6.4 percent compared with the same period in 2015. According to the claims of Mrs. Sovanna Kim, Director of tourism capital.

Mrs. Sovanna has claimed that, the  statistics of  international tourists visiting to Phnom Penh for the first 11 months of 2016 amounted to 2,445,830 people up to 6.4 percent from the same period in 2015., there are 153 nationalities of international tourists visiting the capital most of Chines, Vietnam. Besides, such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the US, France, Australia, England.

She added that, in Phnom Penh we have a tourist resort, entertainment and major tourist attraction side total of 18 locations.

According to Minister of Tourism H.E Dr Thong Khon has estimated that by 2016 international visitors who come to visit Cambodia may be within 5 million.
