International athletes have thanked Cambodia for friendly hospitality and meaningful memories during the 32nd SEA Games.
Mr. Jimmy Pikanet Sukyik, athlete from Thailand, appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia for providing free food and accommodation for international athletes.
“Cambodia is friendly and welcoming for international athletes. This is a great experience for me joining the SEA Games in Cambodia,” he said.
Another athlete from Vietnam lauded Cambodia’s great hospitality that made all participating athletes feel warm.
Under the motto of “Sport: Live in Peace”, the games brought together more than 10,000 athletes, coaches, arbitrators, and delegates from the 11 participating countries.
The regional athletes competed in 37 sports of 581 events: 384 for men, 229 women, and 48 mixed.
Officially closed on May 17, the games looked beyond sports to promoting unity among all ASEAN countries through friendly hospitality, utmost security, and free services for all athletes, coaches and delegates.
All spectators could also enjoy the live games free of charge and the broadcasting right was also free for all.
