Eisey Patamak Mountain or Phnom Eysei Patamak, is also known as Phnom Svay. Located about 2.5 km west of the Banlung provincial town, this is a popular tourist attraction and also a place where the local folks go to for worship. Folks living in and around Banlung would come to worship at Wat Isana Rattanaram situated at the foot of the mountain.
On the top of the mountain is a large reclining Buddha statue resting in a hut adorned with colourful paintings depicting the teachings of the Buddha. People have been coming to the top of the mountain to also pay their respect, at the same time, enjoy the picturesque view of Banlung town and be captivated by the spellbinding serenity of the surrounding countryside. The ambience here is one of peace and calm. This temple on the mountain is known as Wat Rah-Tahn-Ah-Rahm.
The Eisey Patamak Mountain is also popular with campers and hikers who enjoy the hilly terrain. Many come to pitch tents and stay overnight to watch the stars above and the clear views of Laos in the north and Vietnam to the east; to see some of the most gorgeous views across the green and verdant hills of Ratanakiri and enjoy the mesmerizing tranquility of the adjacent countryside.
