11 Days to Discover Phnom Penh and Surrounding

Day 1: Arrival and Phnom Penh orientation(-/L/D)
Arrive in Phnom Penh around noon – Visa processing – meet with guide for transfer to hotel. Afternoon half-day City Tour, National Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda on the same ground of Royal Palace, River Front Park and renowned Wat Phnom Hill. Overnight Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Genocidal museum(B/L/D)
Morning visit Toul Sleng Museum, and Cheung Ek Killing field. Afternoon city orientation tour including, Phnom Penh Municipality Hall, National Library, National Bank, Independence Monument and shopping at New Central Market. Overnight Phnom Penh.

Day 3: Funan city Angkor Borei and Chiso Mountain(B/L/D)
Morning excursion to Takeo Province. Upon arrival, depart by boat to Angkor Borei (Funan city-built in early 400 years BC), visit the magnificent Phnom Da Temple on the top of Phnom Da Mount, the first work of pre-Angkorian period and Museum. Continue the journey by road to Phnom Chiso. On the way back visit Ta Prohm temple and Yeah Pouv. Overnight Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom by overland(B/L/D)
Morning excursion to Kampong Cham, for visit Kuhear Moha Nokor Temple (Wat Nokor) and another stop Phnom Pros (Men-Hill) & Phnom Srey (Women- Hill) and then head to Kompong Thom. Afternoon visit amazing untouched Sambor Prei Kuk complex temples (615-650AD), group of temple which is consists of about 200 temples of the pre-Angkorian City located about 30 Km from Kampong Thom provincial town. Overnight Kampong Thom .

Day 5: Sambo Prei Kuk – Siem Reap(B/L/D)
Morning after breakfast private transfer to Siem Reap, stop at Kompong Kday to see the “Angkorean” bridge and then toward to Siem Reap. After check in, free at your leisure. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 6: Rolous Group and Small Circuit(B/L/D)
Morning tour to Rolous Group including Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei. Afternoon tour to Small Circuit including Prasat Kravan (Cardamon sanctuary), Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang (Royal Bath), Ta Prohm (Jungle Temple), Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda. Overnight Siem Reap.
Day 7: South Gate of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat(B/L/D)
Morning tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon visit the World Seventh Wonder of Angkor Wat and view sunset at Phnom Bakheng Hill. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 8: Banteay Srei and Grand Circuit(B/L/D)
Morning visit Banteay Srei (Citadel of the women) and Banteay Samre. Afternoon Grand Circuit including Pre Rup (Change the body), East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan and Baksei Chamkrong. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 9: Kulen Mountain and waterfall(B/L/D)
Morning full day tour to Holy mountain of Phnom Kulen visit Liga carving, a legacy of the God-kings who ruled Cambodia in the ninth century, One of the eight water sources, Sleeping Buddha, and the Waterfall of Phnom Kulen. Afternoon tour to floating village and boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 10: Khmer Empire capital Koh Ker and Beng Melea (B/L/D)
Morning excursion with tour guide to visit Koh Ker temple, the remote 10th century capital of Khmer Empire for a very brief period from the year 928 to 944 AD, located in Preah Vihea province. Left to the jungle for nearly a millennium and mostly un-restored; this great archaeological site has been rarely visited until very recently. Afternoon return back to Siem Reap with visit Beng Melea, the largely temple overrun by vegetation and very lightly visited by the tourists, giving it an adventurous, ‘lost temple’ feel. It was built in early 11th century by the King Suryavarman II. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 11: Departure
Free at leisure until transfer for flight departure. End of Service.
