H.E Thong Khon, Minister of tourism of Cambodia in the occasion of his participants to the International Travel Expo – China 2016 was held from July 11-12-13 November 2016 has announced a tourism potential in Cambodia.On that occasion, Cambodian Minister also signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation of Tourism with Li Zin Zao, the president of China National Tourism Administration, focusing on promoting cooperation of public and private sector to promote joint push investors under the initiative ‘belt 1 A 1’ to boost tourist interchange of both countries, 2 and 3 to visit China and to visit Cambodia.The minister added that cambodia has always participate in the International Travel Expo – China every year, and for 2016, Cambodia bring performances, art Khmer’s artist of the Ministry of Arts, as well as airlines and tourism of 16 to participate in the big event as well.
Regrettably, in 2015 Cambodia received 700 thousand Chinese tourists and within first 9 months of 2016, there were 580 thousands of Chinese tourists were up 12 percent compared with the same period in 2015. In 2016, the country expects to receive Chinese tourists, more than 800 thousand people.
