Phnom Penh, March 15th, 2023 —

The beautiful ruins of many Khmer Empire capitals from the ninth to the fifteenth centuries may be seen in the 400 square kilometer-long Angkor Archaeological Park, which also includes the prehistoric forest where Angkor Zipline is situated. Surprisingly, the world’s largest pre-industrial metropolis has largely not changed since it was built.

Angkor Park Temples

The Temple of Angkor Wat, depicted above, is the most well-known, followed by Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple with its innumerable sculptures.

In 1992, Angkor Archaeological Park received the UNESCO World Heritage designation. Because to theft, a dropping water table, and unsustainable tourism, it was also added to the List of World Heritage in Danger. UNESCO has now established a comprehensive program to protect this important location and its environs.

Angkor Zipline is dedicated to safeguarding the Park, and we’ll offer ways you can do your part while you’re there!
