Day 1: Angkor Thom Complex

Our tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the tour, which departs from Siem Reap’s city center at 8:30 AM for the Angkor Area. You will first go to Pre Rup Temple, a highly artistic and architecturally significant temple mountain with a relatively intricate design. Your guides will then take you to visit the grandeur of the pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei, which features some of the most stunning carvings of any Khmer temple. The sculptures, lintels, and friezes of the temple express its aesthetic appeal.

After eating lunch at a nearby restaurant, you can spend your valuable time touring Ta Som Temple, which has a relatively flat enclosure, face tower gopuras, and cruciform interior sanctuaries similar to those at Ta Prohm, and Mebon Temple, which is located on what was once an artificial island in the middle of the now-dry East Baray reservoir. After that, you’ll go to Preah Khan Temple, a beautiful location with lots of photo chances. Moreover, the temple features some Buddha carvings that have been hastily covered by Bodhisattvas along the central corridor. Finally, at around 16:00, your guides will return you to your hotel.
