Introduction
This 1.5-day combined trip offers you a singular opportunity to discover Siem Reap’s cultural and natural attractions. The first is where you will find numerous well-known temples, including Angkor Wat, Ta Prom, Banteay Srey, and many others. You can visit Tonle Sap’s floating village on the second and last day to observe a variety of species above and below the water.
Day 1: Angkor Wat Sunrise
ITINERARY:
At 4:30 and 5:00 am, you will be fetched up from your hotel before dawn. As you take in the breathtaking morning, visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world and one of the world’s cultural treasures. With the gentle morning mist that is most frequently present in this region of Cambodia, the gorgeous architecture and attractive light and shadow are made even more memorable. You will gain insight into life during the height of the Khmer Empire as your knowledgeable guide tells you tales about the bas-reliefs.
We will then proceed to the Bayon Temple, which was established by King Jayavarman VII, a Mahayana Buddhist, and is now a well-known monument. The only monastery that has endured to the present day is Bayon, which served as a location for worship, instruction, and administration. Before lunch, we’ll also visit the Terrace of Elephants and the Baphoun Temple.
Visit the Ta Prohm Temple afterwards; it has been preserved in its natural state but is now partially covered in trees and enormous roots. It served as the backdrop for the Angelina Jolie-starring movie Tomb Raider.
Day 2: Tonle Sap (Half Day Tour)
ITINERARY:
Between 2:00 and 2:30 PM, meet your English-speaking guide at your accommodation and travel to the peaceful fishing area.
